In dire need of bolstering their ranks especially when it comes to attack, Arsenal are set to have nailed down on RB Leipzig’s Marcel Sabitzer as the name to solve their predicament.

With Arteta asserting that the club would be looking to rope in fresh names in the January window, a move for Sabitzer could be very well on the cards. According to Julian Laurens, Arsenal have been tracking the player’s situation this season with the club extremely eager of indulging in Sabitzer’s services.

“There is another club- I think Arsenal are very keen as well. I think there’s a few English clubs He will be perfect for the Premier League,” Julian Laurens, someone who is wellversed with German footballing affairs said.

“The way he plays, 26-years-old, it’s a good age, all that energy. I think he’s ready.

“He would be a great signing, potentially quite cheap as well for the kind of player that you’re getting. It’s a no-brainer.”

However, a move will be far from straightforward for Arsenal with the club facing stiff and stern challenge from neighbours Tottenham. Tottenham uptill now have been touted as outright favourites to seal the player’s signature with the club touted to be a long admirer of Sabitzer’s expertise.

Tottenham have been keeping an eye out on the player for the last couple of seasons with the club really bought into the player after he thumped two goals past them in the bygone edition of the Champions League.

26 year old Sabitzer currently has one and a half year remaining on his deal at RB Leipzig. With an estimated value of 45 million pounds, the RB Leipzig captain has made a name for himself owing to his versatility, one which allows to play both in the middle as well as functioning in the wide spaces.

His penchant for the goal has not only seen him pop with 46 goals for the Bundesliga outfit but the Austrian has helped himself to a neat 38 assists as well.
