Mahrez completes 45 million move to Chelsea?
Finally some good news for Antonio Conte and Chelsea!
It has been a bumpy summer for Chelsea this year.
After winning the league and reaching the FA Cup final last season, Antonio Conte must have felt that he was poised to lead a huge summer sending spree in order to catapult Chelsea back into the European elite.
Apparently, he was mistaken. Conte did not get the support that he wanted from his board, as he failed to land his major transfer targets. The Lukaku fiasco was a slap in the face for Conte, as the Italian had wanted Lukaku to lead the line this season.

In the end, Conte bought Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, a top class striker but not someone that the Chelsea boss wanted in the first place. But things look to be getting better, as Morata has made a good start to his life at Stamford Bridge.
Conte was preparing a huge deadline day, as he targeted Barkely, Drinkwater, Chamberlain and Llorente. But things have not worked out as of yet, with Chamberlain joining Liverpool and Everton rejecting a bid for Barkely.
Things got even worse when Tottenham matched Llorente’s 15 million bid, as Swansea are no longer compelled to sell the Spaniard to Chelsea.
But Conte has managed to swoop up Riyad Mahrez for 45 million pounds on deadline day. The Algerian had made it clear that he wants a move away from Leicester, and has finally ended up at Stamford Bridge.
Let’s see how he fares!
