Bishti said in a statement: “A lot has changed since the Fillet-O-Fish launched in 1962 and formed the fish burger scene we see today – with man first landing on the moon, colour TV, creation of the internet, and smartphones – but fish burgers have remained the same.”
He added that the Neat Burger team felt it was “about time for a change.” He noted: “[We’re] giving consumers a tasty fish alternative.” As per the reports, the burger features sustainably-sourced jackfruit in a crispy breadcrumb coating.
Neat burger seeks to expand.
The vegan food chain has only three branches in London, last recently opened in Soho, London. Meanwhile, Hamilton has already planned to expand his firm in other popular cities like Los Angeles and New York.
The Briton race driver has recently adopted environmental activism and talked about how meat production increases environmental degradation.
According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), fishing is one of the “most significant drivers of declines in ocean wildlife populations.” Meanwhile, other popular franchises like Subway and Papa Jones are also adopting vegan options to attract vegan customers to their outlets.
