“Is this what Conor McGregor does”: Giannis Antetokounmpo imitates UFC champ during Milwaukee Bucks practice

Coming off his second straight MVP season, Giannis Antetokounmpo looks to lead his Milwaukee Bucks to the promise-land in 2021. He has fallen short the past two seasons, with a heartbreaking loss to the Toronto Raptors in 2019, and being gentleman swept by the Miami Heat.
After signing a 5 year supermax dealing and receiving Jrue Holiday in a trade that would send 5 picks away, the pressure is on Giannis to deliver a chip to Milwaukee.
The Bucks currently hold the 3rd seed out East after 5 games with Giannis putting up MVP type numbers once again. He’s averaging 27 points while grabbing 10 boards and dishing out 5 assists per game.

The Milwaukee Bucks were set to face off against the Washington Wizards last night. However, due to health and safety protocols related to possible COVID-19 transmission within the Wizards organization, the game had to be postponed. The Wizards have yet to play a game in two weeks.
This gave the Bucks time to hold practice yesterday. Ahead of McGregor’s and Poirerr’s UFC match, the Milwaukee Bucks put a video of Giannis putting one of his trainers in playful ‘chokehold’ on their Twitter. They captioned the video by tagging the two-time UFC champion.

Teams haven’t been given enough time this season to hold proper contact practices as the schedule is mapped out in a way that makes teams play around 20 games per month.
So players only tend to resort to recovering from their previous game rather than participating in practice to avoid fatigue. Giannis and the Bucks did however hold practice and had a moment of levity during the practice.
