"Soothsayer Skip Bayless": The Veteran TV Analyst Correctly Predicted that LeBron James and Anthony Davis will sit the game out

Skip Bayless may not know this, but he’s obsessed with the Los Angeles Lakers. For a San Antonio Spurs fan, his obsession with the LA team is unnerving at times. Why? Well, it could be due to the fact that despite winning five championships, Kobe Bryant receives more praise than Tim Duncan.

The man got a shot in the arm when LeBron James decided to move to the West Coast, and he was over the moon when Anthony Davis decided to follow suit. Not because he was a fan, but because it was cannon fodder. Over the last four years, not once has the 70-year-old said anything good about the duo.

Even in their wins, he has nitpicked certain points in the game, almost as if he’s Dolores Umbridge and can’t stand watching Harry Potter do well. And when they don’t do well, which is often, he’s cackling with joy (probably) while tweeting out the most vitriol he can squeeze into 140 characters.

The last game the Lakers played before Toronto was against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Anthony Davis was doubtful for the game but managed to start. He played only 8 minutes, retiring for the night. His untimely exit from the game meant Darvin Ham’s plan crumbled and the Lakers lost.

Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe went on Undisputed to argue whether the duo would show up to support Russell Westbrook against the Toronto Raptors. In a classic case of Yin and Yang, the answers were opposites.

A Broken Clock is right twice in a day – Skip Bayless managed to get a prediction right

Skip loves to predict the Lakers’ demise; with their current form, he’s more often than not, correct. But when the Lakers turned up the heat, he went radio silent for all but two games during that 10-game stretch. He sent out a barrage of tweets during the dreadful loss to the Indiana Pacers. Same against the Phoenix Suns.

And once again, the Lakers find themselves in the same predicament. Without their two main starters, the team quickly falls apart. Especially with Anthony Davis out, who has been their rock under the rim.

Skip and Shannon are like Garfield and Odie when it comes to the Lakers. One is a super fan, and the other is very “Garfieldian” toward them. When Bayless saw that Anthony Davis was surely out, he rightly predicted Bron would sit the game out as well.

And he did so not because he missed his partner, but because he was suffering from a sore ankle. That doesn’t matter to Skip, does it? He got his prediction right, and the Lakers lost; he’s on Cloud 9 right now.

NBA Twitter is calling him a soothsayer – But in reality, he’s just a biased old man

Calling him a “soothsayer” for predicting 2 players, who are out injured won’t play? Come on fans, you can do better. The report was already released while the show was on – he just had to google it.

The ratings and the content for the show have been going down – they’re turning the availability of players into a debate now. Running on fumes, searching for crumbs until they find the next big cookie. This season has been nothing short of stories, but they only want to discuss what they think sells.

If Skip Bayless was truly objective, he’d be calling out Kawhi Leonard and his “load management”. What is he? A Washing machine? He’s been compared to the Terminator, what does he run on? But he falters far more often than an unstoppable killing machine from the future.
