“James Harden trade led to our team’s progress”: John Wall takes shots at former Rockets superstar after win over Russell Westbrook’s Wizards
Houston Rockets’ guard John Wall aimed another snide remark at James Harden after the Rockets beat the Wizards 107-88 last night.
The Houston Rockets have seemed to find their footing, after having a shaky post-Harden era. The Rockets were off to a rocky 1-3 start after Harden got traded to the Nets, but as of late, they seem to be doing really well.
With their 107-88 win over the Washington Wizards, the Rockets are now on a 3-game winning streak. The Houston backcourt has seemed to find its rhythm as John Wall and Victor Oladipo combined for 44 last night.
Wall led the way as he scored 24 over his former team. In Christian Wood’s absence, DeMarcus Cousins has stepped up. He showed the fans a glimpse of the vintage Boogie in his performance against the Mavericks.
John Wall takes a dig at James Harden while explaining the Rockets’ progress
John Wall has not forgotten about James Harden’s last comments as a Rocket. He had called the Rockets ‘not good enough’, and without giving it an actual shot, called quits on this years’ roster. John Wall has kept a note of the same.
After the game, he was asked to describe what was leading to the Rockets trending up. Wall said, “getting trades in, getting people who want to be here, committing on both ends of the floor.”
John Wall on the why the Rockets are showing progress: “I think getting the trades in, getting people who want to be here, committing on both ends of the floor.”

This is a clear reference to James Harden and his strong desire to not be in Houston anymore. Harden seems to be happy in Brooklyn, and since the Rockets are also doing well, it seems the trade came at the correct time.
