“Bradley Beal and the Raptors are a match made in heaven”: Ball Don’t Stop podcast host Ekam Nagra breaks down benefits of a Beal trade to Toronto
Ekam Nagra of the ‘Ball Don’t Stop’ podcast breaks down the benefits of a Bradley Beal trade to the Raptors from the Wizards.
The Washington Wizards are off to a terrible start this season. They sit at the bottom of the NBA charts, with a 3-11 record. They are currently on a 3 game losing streak and have been 3-7 in their last 10 matchups. This is their worst season in franchise history according to the win percentage.
While the team is having a franchise-worst season, Bradley Beal is having a career-best season. The 27-year-old is leading the league in scoring, averaging 35.4 points for the season. Apart from scoring mammoth points, Beal is also averaging 5.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.4 steals.
How a Bradley Beal trade to the Raptors benefits both parties
In the latest episode of the Ball Don’t Stop podcast, the host Ekam Nagra picks up a much-hyped topic. He talks about Bradley Beal and his trade market. Beal is having a career season, and even though he got Westbrook as a teammate, the Wizards are having the worst season in their history.
The host talks about how Beal is an elite scorer who needs a winning system, and how the Raptors have a winning system, and they need a scorer. According to him, if the Raptors manage to pull off this trade, they would have a squad similar to what they had in the 2018-19 championship team.
Even though Beal cannot directly be compared to Kawhi Leonard, the host believes Beal is more of a scorer than Kawhi was, and the Raptors system and defense can easily compliment him.
Bradley Beal belongs in Toronto‼️
The Raptors need to trade whoever they have to and get Beal. He needs a winning system and they need a bucket getter. Match made in heaven.

Although this trade sounds good in theory, what can the Raptors offer to the Wizards to convince them to give up their star? Can the Raptors spare players who won’t affect their chances of competing at the higher levels? We need to wait and see how things turn out, as Beal is yet to request a trade out of the Capital.
