Weather at Sydney Cricket Ground: What is the weather prediction for Sydney Sixers vs Perth Scorchers BBL 10 final?
Weather at Sydney Cricket Ground: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather prediction for Big Bash League 10 final.
During the final match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League between Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers in Sydney, Perth Scorchers captain Ashton Turner has won the bat flip and elected to field.
It is only fitting that the final match of one of the biggest T20 leagues around the world is being played between two teams which had secured top two positions on the points table.
Having won nine out of their 14 league matches, defending champions Sixers have defended their title in the best possible manner so far. Scorchers, on the other hand, were the second-best team on the points table with eight victories in their 14 matches.
Both the teams are playing with an unchanged Playing XI in the final match which means that Perth opening batsman Jason Roy has missed his second consecutive match this season.
Weather at Sydney Cricket Ground
Much like the BBL 10 Challenger between Scorchers and Brisbane Heat in Canberra on Thursday, there’s a possibility of rain playing spoilsport in Sydney tonight. The same was confirmed by Turner during the bat flip.
“There’s a bit of weather around and the pitch has been under covers. No other reasons to bowl,” Turner told Fox Cricket earlier.
At the time of writing this story, there hasn’t been any sign of rain pouring down at the Sydney Cricket Ground. According to the weather forecast on AccuWeather, there’s no prediction of rain as of now.
It is worth mentioning that there’s a minor possibility of rain at around 02:00 AM (AEST) tomorrow (February 7) but the match should be finished by then. In case of water falling down during the match, it shouldn’t cause much of a trouble with respect to the match not getting completed.
What rain⁉️☀️🙌
