DC Predicted Playing XI vs CSK

DC Predicted Playing XI vs CSK: Sportsrush presents before you DC’s Predicted Playing XI for their second match vs CSK.

After demolishing the Mumbai Indians at their home in Wankhede, Delhi Capitals now move to Delhi to face the  Chennai Super Kings, who themselves got off to a winning start this season. Delhi Capitals will be looking to continue their winning run and possibly make themselves favourite for the title this season.

Delhi Capitals batters were off to a great start this season helping the team to a 37-run win over Mumbai. Despite not having an impressive head-to-head against Chennai, Shreyas Iyer will be adamant to lead his young side to a win over the defending champions.

The Sports Rush predicts the playing XI for the Delhi Capitals against Chennai Super Kings:

Prithvi Shaw:

The right-hander did not get himself to a great start in the tournament, being dismissed for just 7. However, he will be looking forward to improve himself and carry the promise that he showed last season.

Shikhar Dhawan:

After being traded in from SunRisers Hyderabad, the ever-consistent Shikhar Dhawan got off to a good start to the IPL. His amazing stroke-play in the power play and good situation analysis will make him a permanent spot at the top of the order.

Shreyas Iyer (c):

Shreyas Iyer will be happy following a brilliant win over Mumbai Indians. Iyer had a good start against Mumbai, but failed to carry on. However, his performances over the past years will make him an automatic choice.
Colin Ingram:

Coming on the back off brilliant seasons in the PSL and the BBL, Colin Ingram made his IPL debut in the game against Mumbai, scoring a good 47. With that said, his current form will make him one to watch out for against CSK.

Hanuma Vihari:

The right-handed batsman was unable to make it to the playing XI against Mumbai. With Delhi being short of batting all-rounders, it will be safe for Delhi to opt for Vihari to stabilize the innings in case of a collapse.

Rishabh Pant (wk):

Rishabh Pant won the man of the match following a sizzling 27-ball 78 in the opening game for Delhi. His brilliant hitting on the leg side and brilliant wicket-keeping skills also make him a permanent fixture in the Capitals side.

Axar Patel:

Axar Patel is another handy all-rounder that will be very important to Delhi considering the team does not have enough all-round options until Chris Morris is available. Till then, Axar Patel will be hoping to prove himself as an all-rounder.

Kagiso Rabada:

The right-arm pace bowler has become one of the world’s best bowlers in the past few years. Adding to his brilliant bowling abilities, the left-hander can also hit the long-ball, making him a good addition to the side.

Sandeep Lamichanne:

The superstar leg-spinner from Nepal, Sandeep Lamichanne was left out of the playing XI in the previous game. However, the pitch conditions in Mumbai did not favour a spinner, as Iyer hesitated before giving the ball to a spinner. With that said, Lamichanne’s addition will strengthen Delhi’s spin attack in good conditions in Delhi.

Ishant Sharma:

The Indian pacer had a good game against Mumbai picking up a wicket in his four-over spell. Ishant’s return to form has been visible in the IPL last season, meaning he will be important for Shreyas Iyer this season.

Trent Boult:

The Kiwi pacer will be hoping to perform in more favourable conditions at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Boult has a good record against the right-handers, and with CSK having a lot of right-handers, he will be a great inclusion.
