“We will make sure that we do the same for Sebastian”- Aston Martin promises to give Vettel what other drivers always demand
“We will make sure that we do the same for Sebastian”- Aston Martin has guaranteed that it will give Sebastian Vettel a strong rear.
Sebastian Vettel is set to start his career with Aston Martin, and the newly branded team has guaranteed some excitement ahead of the 2021 season.
Aston Martin’s boss Otmar Szafnauer is now claiming that they would be considering all the needs of Vettel this year, including a strong rear end.
“Every driver who has competed with us wants a racing car with a sturdy rear end,” he told Speedweek. “On the part of designers, we have always tried to put together a car with good stability to meet the driver’s request.
“And we will make sure that we do the same for Sebastian.”
Sebastian Vettel can still be a world champion.
While all the critics of Vettel have argued that the German is heading on a death trajectory, Szafnauer claims that Vettel has all the qualities to be a world champion.
“In the paddock, everyone knows that Seb is one of the best drivers ever when it comes to the question of the right strategy,” he told Sport Bild.
Meanwhile, team owner Lawrence Stroll backing his decision to replace Sergio Perez with Vettel is a rational move, as a portfolio of four-time world champion is any day lucrative.
“Sebastian had a car at Ferrari that was tricky to drive, and that didn’t suit his driving style,” he said. “It was similar in his last year for Red Bull Racing in 2014.
“But Vettel is a four-time Formula 1 World Champion. He certainly hasn’t forgotten how to drive a racing car,” he added. Vettel would be paired with Lawrence’s son Lance Stroll for 2021.
Moreover, supported by Mercedes power unit, Aston Martin seems to be a prospect to look forward.
