Its not only been competitors but players and managers of these clubs itself who have lent their voice of support against the European Super League. The Premier League in particular has become a hotbed of protests across the last couple of days with the last two contests both being shrouded by protests.

Chelsea Become First Club To Leave The Super League

Chelsea’s upcoming showdown with Brighton on Tuesday become the latest encounter to be marred by protests. The London based club’s supporters hit to the ground, reaching Stamford Bridge in manifold numbers to slam the club’s decision to be a part of the Super League.

Supporter voice looks to have finally prevailed though with reports coming in of Chelsea exiting the Super League. The club based out of London is the first club to have pulled out of the competition with the side said to be drawing up documents to signal its exit from the new league.

Chelsea’s decision has triggered other sides as well with counterparts Manchester City all set to become the second Premier League side to leave the league. The ripples of this news have reached Spain as well with Atletico Madrid also said to be in the process of departing the competition.

All the twelve clubs partaking in the Super League are said to hold an emergency meeting later today with all members said to be eying an immediate exit. The clubs are trying to recompense for their distasteful decision by disbanding the Super League at the earliest plausible.
