Arturo Vidal Instagram story: The Barcelona midfielder has spoken on his controversial Instagram story.

Barcelona’s frustrating form in La Liga continues as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Valencia. Lionel Messi scored the only goal for Barcelona after an error from Gerard Pique led to the hosts leading 1-0 in only the second minute of the match.

Barcelona have slipped to second place in La Liga, with Sevilla being the surprise toppers in the table. Real Madrid have further slipped to fourth, behind Atletico Madrid in the league after a stunning 1-0 defeat against Deportivo Alaves.

Julen Lopetegui’s side is goalless since the last four matches in all competitions.

As Barcelona suffers from lack of form in the league, the Catalan side are also in a midst of a controversy surrounding midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Since the season began, the Chilean has played only 164 minutes in the La Liga. The Chilean midfielder is frustrated with the lack of game time. He posted a controversial story on Instagram to display his anger, but has now spoken on the issue.

The Barcelona midfielder has now spoken about his annoyance at not getting enough game time. He insisted that the Instagram story has nothing to do with it and that he deleted it because the story would’ve let to further speculations.

On being asked about whether the story was a dig at the manager, Vidal said, as quoted by Sport in Spanish, “I do not want you to know that’s why, if I have a problem with the coach, I talk to him personally. Sometimes you have other problems and you vent on the networks.”

However, Vidal did not hide the fact that he is annoyed with the lack of game time.

“How can you be happy if you do not play? But I’m a player who has always fought, who has been in the best teams in the world.

“I want to continue. I’m very good and happy physically. In the last few matches, I’ve been a little bit annoyed. But this is true [that] I’ll keep fighting because there are very important games, where I hope to be a starter.”
