“Not something I put any energy towards” – Hamilton on Toto Wolff vs Christian Horner verbal duel over Red Bull Powertrains
“Not something I put any energy towards” – Lewis Hamilton has left the verbal dueling with Red Bull on his boss Toto Wolff, with the Powertrains project picking up steam.
With the current season’s title battle already looking done and dusted, Red Bull have turned their focus on the setting-up of their ambitious Red Bull Powertrains project.
In line with this, they have confirmed the hiring (read: poaching) of six Mercedes engine staff, something that hasn’t pleased Mercedes all too much. But their star driver Lewis Hamilton has refused to speak on it, suggesting Wolff does that pretty well already.

He, however, appeared to suggest every employee has their own journey and thanked the outgoing HPP team for their contribution to the enormous success since the last decade.
“It is not something I put any energy towards. There is, obviously, all this that is going on in the background. I think I have the best ally in Toto [Wolff] who will be working to manage it in the best way possible.
“Without a doubt, every individual in our team is amazing and it is not a surprise that everybody will want them. We have had a lot of success together. If there are people who have gone, I wish them all the best, we all have to go through our own journeys and make our own decisions which are right for us.”
“This is a huge team. It is not about one individual or even five, it is about one collection and an amazing collection of people that remains solid and focused on winning this championship.”
