“LeBron James seems weirdly disengaged”: Skip Bayless accuses Lakers star of coasting in Game 1 vs Suns
Skip Bayless says that he is “disappointed” with LeBron James after a pedestrian performance in game-1 against the Phoenix Suns.
LeBron James and the LA Lakers’ game-1 against the Phoenix Suns was one of the most anticipated playoff games this season. And while it didn’t disappoint, it certainly didn’t go the way many expected.
Most of the NBA community backed the reigning champions to take this game, and this series. However, in a shocking turn of events, the Suns came out of the tunnel as clearly the better team, and held the Lakers at an arm’s length for most of the game. Eventually, they won the game, with a score of 99-90.
During the match, Anthony Davis most notable was absolutely abysmal during this game, due to which many are blaming him for the loss. However, as always, Skip Bayless has turned his attention to LeBron James.
Let’s get into it.

“LeBron James seemed weirdly disengaged”: Skip Bayless
Skip Bayless has a reputation of hating on players, sometimes when they least deserve it. Over the years, it has become well documented that his favorite target is the great LeBron James, who he takes potshots at just about all the time. However, recently, the analyst seemingly broke character in a massive way.
After game-1 concluded, Bayless tweeted this out.
Very disappointed in LeBron. After 8 quick early points, wound up with only 18 while his close friend CP3 could barely dribble and could mostly shoot only air balls. LeBron seemed weirdly disengaged, low energy, turning down drives and shots … maybe worried about his friend.

We never thought the day would come where Skip Bayless would post some actual criticism on LeBron James. He has mocked and hated on the player for so long without some actual analysis, that we’re actually a bit stunned frankly.
Jokes aside though, what Bayless says here does make sense. After all, Chris Paul and the King have been close friends for the longest time. It could very well be that the Lakers star was worried, which could have thrown him off his game.
Overall, though, the analyst was right about the player being too uninvolved in the game. And if the Lakers hope to win this series, that fact will have to change very soon.
There is no time to dawdle for Los Angeles against the quality of their opponents.
