“I used to shout around”– Max Verstappen talks about the behavioural changes he has adopted to be a better person and an F1 driver.

At the age of 17, Max Verstappen made his Formula 1, a thing many teenagers can be arrogant about with all the fame being received. The Dutch race driver having the same behaviour initially.

However, he claims to be changed and talked about the behavioural change he has adopted as his time in the professional motoracing went on. Now, at the age of 23, he is wiser.

“From the age of 17 to 23, things change. That’s very normal,” the Dutchman explains. “I used to shout around. Nowadays I’m much more relaxed,” Verstappen said to ServusTV program Sport und Talk.

Initially, Verstappen had temperamental issues and heard passing arrogant radio messages. That attitude even helped Netflix to portray him as a “rash” young boy of F1 in the documentary series Drive to Survive.

Verstappen is extremely different from his Netflix personality and can be extra fun during the off-track events. Nevertheless, Verstappen decided to adopt some changes in himself and hope it may help him in life.

Towards fitness

Verstappen has confessed that he has added extra ten kilos to hive weight, and maybe it is to have more related to have good fitness. Anyway, he says, he has no issues with the machinery with the added weight.

“Compared to last year, it’s a bit more. But in general I never have any problems in the car. I weigh 78 kilograms with all the equipment included.”

Verstappen is now set to vie against Mercedes in the Azerbaijan GP, and a win can give him an added lead in the drivers’ championship. For which, he would be too desperate to have a hold. In Monaco, Verstappen overtook Hamilton in the table standings.
