Watch: Rohit Sharma’s acrobatic catch leaves the onlookers in awe
Is it a bird? plane? a reputed diver? No, it is Rohit Sharma! Attaboy! What a spectacular acrobatic catch that was! Rohit Sharma portrayed the art into reality.
During the T20I decider between India and New Zealand, Rohit Sharma shot into prominence by taking a stupendous diving catch that took everyone by surprise.
Jasprit Bumrah stuck to his subtle bowling variations of line and length. He knew that Colin Munro was hitting from ball one and so Bumrah bowled a tricky short pitch ball.
Munro connected it but not so accurate enough to cut the air. Once the ball was high up in the air, we knew that the wicket was going to fall for New Zealand.
Rohit Sharma had all eyes on the ball and ran quickly. Once he saw he was close to it, he ensured to put a full-stretched dive at the last second to cling his hands on to the ball.
Rohit Sharma’s glimpses of airborne were also witnessed in the previous edition of IPL when he put a complete dive to take an absolute peach of a one-handed catch.
The recent one was even better. The angle of projection of the ball that was going further, Rohit had to make quick runs from the mid-on to take that catch.
The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli who witnessed the catch at the best scene, went up to Rohit Sharma and hugged him for his effort. That was the best moment of the day!
