“Is Michael Jordan the GOAT in Space Jam 2?”: Skip Bayless blasts Lakers star LeBron James for boasting in new trailer titled ‘The Bunny and the GOAT’

Skip Bayless is confused as to why Space Jam 2 is claiming LeBron James is the GOAT when he believes that Michael Jordan is clearly superior. 

The debate on who the ‘GOAT’ is between Michael Jordan and LeBron James continues to ravage NBA social media, even with the latter having been out of the basketball picture for over two weeks now.

This is mainly due to Skip Bayless shoehorning in Jordan’s greatness into every single conversation to undermine LeBron’s accomplishments. 

However, with LeBron James being the Bulls legend’s successor in the upcoming Space Jam 2 movie, comparisons between the two were bound to take place.

In a recent 30-for-30 spoof done on ESPN, a hilarious video about internal turmoil between the Looney Tunes and LeBron James was released.

The title for this video was given as ‘The Bunny and the GOAT’, obviously referring to Bugs Bunny and the ‘GOAT’ aspect alluding to James being the greatest. As expected, Skip Bayless took offense to this. 

Skip Bayless does not understand Space Jam 2 considering LeBron James to be the GOAT over Michael Jordan. 

Skip Bayless took to Twitter to go rant about this 30-for-30 spoof and claim that LeBron James should not be considered the greatest of all time after having lost in the first round of the Playoffs to the Phoenix Suns.

Wait, they’re advertising the new counterfeit Space Jam as “The Bunny and the Goat”??? Is Jordan in it? They can’t be referring to the guy who just flamed out in the 1st round of the playoffs, can they? The guy who’s 4-6 in Finals? The one without a clutch gene who can’t shoot?

To play devil’s advocate, Bayless does have a point in saying James cannot be crowned with the title of undisputed GOAT after having lost in 6 in the first round. However, the rest of his rant brings about old timey ‘faults’ in LeBron that the man himself has proven wrong on nearly every single occasion. 

LeBron James ‘not having a clutch gene’ is an extremely outdated narrative and needs to be laid to rest. He’s proven time and time again that when given the opportunity, he will most certainly pull through in the clutch, no matter the circumstances. 

As for the 4-6 Finals record; is it really a fault to have been to 10 NBA Finals in your career? For the sake of this article not being 8000 words long, we will consider this topic to be one that needs to be discussed on another date.
