“Devin Booker, this might set a bad precedent”: Richard Jefferson roasted on NBA Twiter by Suns star for being unusually snowflakey take regarding ‘Suns in 4’ fan
Richard Jefferson, who’s normally the epitome of cool-headed takes, got a sarcastic clap-back from Devin Booker on Instagram comments.
Devin Booker recently sought out the Suns fan who disposed of some miscreants trying to fight him at Ball Arena. The fan in question is named Nick McKellar. He lives in Denver now, but he’s been a lifelong Suns fan.
McKellar has become a legend on NBA Twitter after footage of him dealing with 2 Nuggets fans emerged. One of the two Nuggets fans tried to start a fight with Nick at the arena, but he got his backside handed to him.
It was so brutal that his friend didn’t even try to intervene. McKellar even had the wits to shout ‘Suns in 4′ while holding the fan with the Murray jersey.
Devin Booker sought out McKellar on his social media, and was soon successfully connected to him. Booker has also hooked Nick up with tickets to the Conference Finals – the Suns’ first appearance at that stage since 2010.
Devin Booker replies with ‘aww’ to a snowflakey comment from Richard Jefferson
ESPN posted about this bit of news on their social media today, generating a tidal wave of reactions. RJ was among those who questioned Devin Booker for this act. RJ commented ‘I feel like this might set a bad precedent’ on the Instagram post below.
Now Richard Jefferson is usually the one who’s taking the stance ‘boys will be boys’ when something of this nature happens on an NBA court. It was, therefore, surprising to see him in react in such fashion to this incident.

Defending yourself from miscreants out to punch you and teaching them a lesson has never been a bad example to set. Those who truly believe this probably also believe that violence, no matter what cause, is always bad.
Devin Booker recognizes this, and he’s a pretty grounded, humble person who usually knows what he’s doing. He wasn’t going to take a bunch of this soft talk from Jefferson one bit.
Booker responded to RJ with a short, crisp comment that’d probably have gotten its message across to him. “Aww!” is a reaction that tends to get many men riled up, but we know that RJ is better than that. Hopefully he saw where he was wrong this time around.
