Lots at stake for Liverpool and Real Madrid as the Champions League returns
Champions League is back after the international break – finally! Europe’s best footballing event will kick start tonight with a slew of important games to be played on Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening.
In Champions League, each and every game counts and not even the best teams in Europe rest on their laurels on a Champions League night. It promises to be a fascinating night with crunch games to be played.
Tuesday, 21st November:
Group E: Spartak Moscow v Maribor & Sevilla v Liverpool

When the draws were made, everyone expected Liverpool and Sevilla to qualify peacefully from Group E. However, much thanks to Spartak Moscow and lackluster performances from Sevilla, this group has shaped up nicely as all the top 3 teams in the group can still qualify, obviously with a few permutations and combinations.

Spartak would want to win tonight and would need Sevilla to slip against Liverpool, if they were to have a real shot at qualifying for the Round of 16. It is an important night for Group E and it will be a battle out there to win for each of the teams from this group.
Group F: Napoli vs Shakhtar Donetsk & Manchester City vs Feyenoord

The only great game to watch from this group is the contest between Napoli and Shakhtar as it could decide the other team to qualify from this group. If Napoli loses, it will be all curtains for them.
However, a win for Napoli could make things interesting as Shakhtar has to play Manchester City once and expect them to lose to the high flying Pep Guardiola side. Shakhtar can still qualify even if they lose to Napoli if they can maintain a better head to head record with Napoli.
Group G: Besiktas vs Porto, Monaco vs RB Leipzig

Besiktas is just a point away from qualification to Round of 16 and a draw tonight against Porto will just be good enough for them. Last season’s semifinalists Monaco are at the bottom of the table and would need to win the remaining 2 fixtures and would need some help from Porto and Leipzig to qualify.
Porto needs to win today and against Monaco as well to hold any chance to qualify and same applies to Leipzig.
Group H: Tottenham vs Dortmund & Apoel Nicosia vs Real Madrid

When the draws were made, nobody expected Dortmund to be in the spot of bother that they are in right now. They have been one of the biggest disappointments in Champions League this season. It looks tough for them this season to go beyond group stage.
Real Madrid, needs to win tonight and the remaining fixture to cap off any fears of not qualifying to the Round of 16. Spurs are all but done and should finish top of the group.
