“They go through fire for me” – Max Verstappen overwhelmed with Red Bull’s reaction to British GP crash
“They go through fire for me” – Max Verstappen is overwhelmed with Red Bull’s reaction to his British GP crash with Lewis Hamilton, and considers himself to be in the right team.
Red Bull reacted with fury after a collision between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in the British Grand Prix. They blamed Hamilton for the crash which sent Verstappen to hospital, resulting from a 51G crash.
Verstappen has returned safely from the hospital, and is in awe of Red Bull’s support for him in the aftermath. There were rumors of Mercedes trying to poach him in the coming seasons, but that doesn’t seem likely anymore.
“How Red Bull reacted after Silverstone and how everyone handled everything confirms to me that I am really in the right team. They go through fire for me.
“I got calls and messages from everyone, I don’t think you will see the warmth that I feel within our team with any other team.”

Verstappen will not let Alex Albon race in his car!
The fiery competitor he is, Verstappen has revealed he would not have allowed anyone else to drive his Red Bull. That would have been Alex Albon, but the Dutchman is back in time for the Hungarian GP this weekend.
Verstappen currently leads the drivers’ championship over Hamilton by a slender 8-point margin. The latter has a good record here, so it is imperative for Verstappen and Red Bull to ensure a victory for themselves on Sunday.
“If I had to drive the next day, I would have got in anyway. I will never let anyone else race in my car. Even if I secretly had a break-up, I wouldn’t admit it.”
