“I was 14 and a diehard LeBron James fan”: Rockets’ rookie Josh Christopher tries to defend his tweets slandering Stephen Curry
Rockets’ rookie Josh Christopher is the latest addition to the list of people hating on Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry
Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry is a kind and down-to-earth guy. Despite having numerous records on and off the court, Curry never gave up on his humility.
One would think after becoming the only unanimous MVP the league has ever seen, the amount of hate and doubt Curry receives would change, but that’s not the case.
One would think that after becoming the first person to secure multiple $200+ million contracts, people would see why Curry is so valuable, but apparently, that still hasn’t happened.
It’s more than just the players and the media. Fans of players that Stephen Curry has taken down regularly also have an insane amount of hate for what Steph can accomplish. Rockets’ rookie Josh Christopher was no different.
Josh Christopher defends his tweets about Stephen Curry
A thing that most of the rookies would get haunted about is their social media. With the rise of the internet, anything anyone does gets recorded.
Josh Christopher is facing the same, as fans dug out his tweets from the mid-2010s. All those tweets just point to why Josh and the Rockets would be a match made in heaven.
Josh, at that time, was 14, and the Warriors had already defeated LeBron James and the Cavs in the Finals once. There is a flurry of tweets where Josh mocks Stephen Curry.

Josh called Steph multiple things, from Stephen ‘cotton candy’ Curry to straight-up calling him garbage. He also had the audacity to write Steven Adams > Stephen Curry. The rookie tried justifying his actions by putting out a tweet that said ‘I was 14 and a die-hard LeBron fan.’
However, that made things worse for the rookie. He decided to delete that tweet and has been quiet on social media since.
It should be interesting to see the first time Christopher faces Steph and the Warriors. Would Stephen Curry keep a receipt of the same and torch the kid, or would the kid hold his own?
