In what many feel, it was time the NBA adopted a stricter outlook in its ‘Traveling and Carrying’ violations, a positive development for the religious followers and fans of the game. Over the years, we’ve witnessed the basic fundamentals of basketball being ignored by the best in the world.

It seems to have become a norm in the NBA that players traveling or carrying during plays could be overlooked, no doubt setting a bad precedent. Fortunately, this has been changing off-late, with the officials blowing the whistle finally, no matter the stature of the individual in concern.

Recently, the likes of Jaylen Brown, Stephen Curry, and Luka Doncic bore the brunt of this newly revamped stern officiating. However, the argument remains the consistency in these calls, something the team of officials needs to revisit.

Struggling off-late with the travel calls, Brown would call out the league officials, accusing them of targeting him. However, the Celtics All-Star would have to eat his words, courtesy of Devin “Kakashi” Williams, known as the teacher of basketball on social media.

Jaylen Brown stands publicly exposed.

In the day and age of social media, be sure you choose your words wisely, especially if you’re under the public lens, something Brown learned the hard way.

Post his grievances against the officials for calling out his traveling, entrepreneur and basketball tutor Devin “Kakashi” Williams would run an exposé on Brown.

Addressing himself as head of the Federal Basketball Investigators, Devin would put together a series of clips involving the 6ft 6″ forward traveling, hilariously having him exposed.

Jaylen Brown has been facing his demons off-late.

In the recent back-to-back losses against the lower-seeded Orlando Magic, Brown failed to take care of matters amid an absent Jayson Tatum. Though he did have a double-double in the second of the two consecutive games, it wasn’t his most efficient performance, given his 5-turnovers.

The 26-year-old combined for 12 turnovers in the back-to-backs against the Magic. Brown was called out for 4-travel violations in the last 2-games.

According to Mass Live, travel calls doubled from 1.7 per game in October to 3.4 in November and the call was declared a point of emphasis in the preseason by NBA senior VP of referee development Monty McCutchen.
