Dwyane Wade was one of the most dominant NBA players during his time, but he was definitely a terrible three point shooter.

Wade played nearly his entire career with the Miami Heat except for 1.5 weird years with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers.

He finished his career as a three time NBA Champion, and to this day, his performance in the 2006 NBA Finals against Dirk Nowitzki remains one of the best NBA Finals performances in history. Wade’s quick and athletic style of play gave him the nickname ‘Flash’ as he was known for beating you quickly off the dribble to finish at the rim.

Dwyane Wade Jokes About His Terrible Three Point Shooting At NBA Summer League

Like many other former NBA stars and current day players, Wade decided to show up to the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League.

Rookies and second year players usually use the Summer League as a way to find their role within the team, impress coaches, and earn playing time. It’s not uncommon for former players like Wade to come and watch some of the youngsters play.

However, Wade decided that during the break of one game, it’d be a good idea if he tested out his shot making range by chucking up a few three point shots.

How’d they go? Not so great as you might expect from a retired NBA player who was never really great at three pointers to begin with. Fans made sure to call Wade out for his misses:

Well, Wade isn’t wrong. He finished his career averaging a measly 29.3% from three. In fact, it might surprise you to know this, but Wade’s best shooting year from beyond the arc came in his final season with the Miami Heat in 2018-19 when he hit them at a 33% clip.

Wade is one of the most charismatic and charming personalities in the league, so it makes sense that he didn’t take any offense to the fan’s post about him and instead chose to laugh along with him.
