Why Yuvraj Singh snubbed the offer of a ‘Farewell Game’ by BCCI?

Gone are the days when we used to witness one heck of a perfect blast from Yuvraj Singh’s Midas touch with the bat. When he comes in to bat, there is an upheaval in the faces of opposition bowlers. Smashing sixes with brute force is directly proportional to the entertainment quotient and Yuvraj Singh has always lived up to that potential.

Ever since the chairman of selectors, MSK Prasad, was recruited, fitness parameters came into play which in turn made life difficult for Yuvraj Singh. He has failed the ‘Yo-Yo test’ and is currently sweating it out at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore to pass the test and to make a comeback anytime soon.

Yuvraj Singh was last seen flexing his muscles for India against Windies in the Caribbean islands. If sources are to be believed, Yuvraj Singh was offered a farewell game by the Board of Control for Cricket in India but the World Cup champion snubbed it.

India needs a dependent utility stock batsman at No.4
