Rohit Sharma climbs up the ladder to grab 5th place in ICC ODI rankings
After a scintillating performance with the bat in the recently-concluded ODI series against Sri Lanka, the interim skipper and specialist opener Rohit Sharma has climbed up to reach the fifth spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings.
Rohit Sharma’s mercurial double century helped India to level the series 1-1 over Sri Lanka in the second ODI, before Dhawan’s century helped clinch the series in Vizag last night.
The Hitman has gained two points to his credit and it is the first time that he has inched past the 800-point mark in his illustrious career. Rohit Sharma’s personal best was when he reached the third spot in February 2016.
