Paris St Germain star Di Maria makes a decision on his future
Angel Di Maria is edging closer to a move to Barcelona for an estimated fee of around €45 million.
According to Spanish publication Sport, he is set to join the La Liga leaders. He would be joining an exclusive list of players to have played for both Madrid and Barca.
Di Maria left Madrid for Manchester United during the summer of 2014 for a club record fee of €75,000.Having failed to make an impact at Old Trafford, he was shipped off to PSG only a year later.
The 29-year old has renewed his career at the French capital He enjoyed an amazing two seasons, scoring 29 goals and assisting 40 more in just 80 appearances. PSG made it to the quarter-final of the Champions League, only to lose to Barcelona in a thrilling 6-5 two match encounter.
The arrival of Mbappe and Neymar limited his playing time:

The arrival of Mbappe and Neymar at Parc des Princes has shipped him off to the bench. He has made only a handful of appearances this season, mostly off the bench.
A return to Spain was touted last summer- in a player plus cash deal with Di Maria coming to Camp Nou. But PSG ended up retaining his services, paying a world record fee for the Brazillian.
Reports now claim he wants a union with international team-mate Messi. The same report claims the offer of €45 million and €15m in bonuses still stands from the last transfer window.
A word on the move:

Rumours of this particular transfer popped up during the summer itself before Barca signed Dembele.
The Blaugrana have so far enjoyed a prolific season, with all players stepping up each game. Nobody though has been able to fill Neymar’s vacant spot. Di Maria in one player who can do a good job in that position.
With PSG looking to unload players to avoid FFP, and Deulofeu edging closer to a move to Inter, he looks a good option for Barca. Whether they sign Coutinho or not, he is a welcome addition to the squad.
