Manchester United Transfer News: Barcelona interested in signing United player
Manchester United Transfer News: Barcelona interested in signing United player in what would be the most shocking transfer of the season.
Manchester United have been linked with almost every player in this summer transfer season. Any player that was up for grabs was said to have United’s attention. However, it is a Manchester United player’s possible away transfer that has made the news.

Barcelona are reportedly attentive to Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian. Mundo Deportivo have reported that Barcelona are in the market for a left back. They are looking at players who can arrive at the club as cover for Jordi Alba. The Blaugrana have been linked with David Alaba, Junior Firpo and Philip Max.
Bayern Munich are not willing to let go of Alaba. Besides, it would be hard to convince Alaba to join the squad as a back up player. Firpo and Max, while talented, are too costly considering their relative inexperience.
Darmian to Camp Nou
It is here that Darmian edges them all. The United outcast would cost them less than €10m. While Darmian is primarily a right back, he can play on the other side too. If Barcelona fail to get their primary targets at their desired price then they may make a move for Darmian. Manchester United will definitely be eager to let go of him and while the move would make sense for Barcelona, it seems just as weird at the same time.
Matteo Darmian joined Manchester United in July 2015. He won the FA Cup, EFL Cup and UEFA Europa League in his first two seasons with the club. Darmain has not featured for United as much in the last couple of seasons and is most likely going to sit on the bench for much of the 2018-2019 campaign as well.
