Rabada and Ngidi accused of match fixing
South African stars, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi recently landed in hot water, as some of their tweets were blown out of proportion and led some people to believe that the pair may have been involved in a match-fixing scandal.
This comes after both Ngidi and Rabada sent out tweets in which they mentioned money is the root cause of all evil.
“Money is the root of all evil so, they say…” wrote Rabada, while Ngidi posted something similar, “Money is the root of ALL evil…” prompting cricket fans to become very suspicious.

Rabada had to later put out another tweet in which he clarified that his and Ngidi’s comments were not at all related to cricket and were taken out of context.
That would come as a huge sigh of relief to fans all over the world, as no one would have wanted to see these two highly talented players being involved in a match-fixing scandal.
Rabada and Ngidi have been two bright spots for South Africa in the ongoing series against India, as the pair have troubled the Indian batsmen far more than the rest of the bowlers.
South Africa have not performed to their usual standards in the series, as the hosts have been completely outplayed by India in the five matches so far. Other than a victory in the rain-curtailed pink ODI, the hosts have been second best throughout the series.
For South Africa’s sake, let’s hope they make a match out of it against India in the final ODI later today.
