MS Dhoni opens up on CSK’s win
Two days, two hundreds and the IPL has well and truly come alive.
MS Dhoni and CSK will be over the moon, following Shane Watson’s hundred against the Rajasthan Royals, an innings which was probably the best way to follow up that Chris Gayle special from last night.
Shane Watson did get a little fortunate in the initial few overs, thanks to a few dropped catches on part of the Rajasthan Royals, but after that it was the ‘Watto show’ all along.
Raina too chipped in with a good innings of 30 odd and CSK took to their new home in Pune with the utmost ease.
The CSK bowlers then rounded up the performance with a very professional bowling display, bowling Rajasthan out for 140.
MS Dhoni was a satisfied man in the post match presentation, commenting on CSK’s win and how they made it possible despite batting first.
“Big game for us, we lost the last one. It’s like an unknown territory for us. CSK is used to be slightly behind, before getting into the groove” Dhoni said.
“As far as the wicket is concerned, I’m not sure that it was coming on nicely, especially when the ball got old. Back of length was hard to hit. Batsmen made the bowlers’ life easy. Spinners had to vary their line and lengths along with the pace. It’s a league stage, it’s not like the quarters or semis, where if you lose you’re out, so there’s not that much pressure.” he added.
CSK now move to the top of the table and would like to cement their position in the upcoming games.
