Unai Emery wants to bring Ousmane Dembele to Arsenal
Arsenal’s new era under Unai Emery promises to be a fruitful one, as Emery knows how to win trophies and could lead a healthy transition at the Emirates.
Emery though will have his hands full as he’ll to get the miserly Arsenal board to agree to shell out some cash during this crucial phase in Arsenal’s development as a club.
He has apparently set his sights on getting Dembele to Emirates in what could be one of the shrewdest transfers of the summer.
Ousmane Dembele’s talent was on display during his Dortmund days, something that made the Nou Camp scouts take notice. He was then brought into the Barcelona squad, in an attempt to replace Neymar, who had taken the flight to Paris.
Dembele however, has been plagued by injuries at Barcelona and thus hasn’t really been able to cement his position in the side.
Now, with Griezmann set to make his move to Barcelona, reports in the Don Balon and Express claim that Dembele is set to be offloaded.
While at first only Liverpool seemed to be interested in the youngster, with Unai Emery arriving at Arsenal, reports claim that Arsenal are now leading the race to sign the 21 year old.
The deal however, would be a loan deal at first, wherein Arsenal might have the option to buy him at the end of the season.
If Dembele does come into that Arsenal set up, he would provide some much needed pace and trickery on the wings to Emery, helping him shape his front 3 or 4 with much ease.
Exciting times ahead for Arsenal!
