Manchester United release 8 players
Manchester United have announced that they have released 8 players from the squad for the 2018-19 season.
The Red Devils have also provided contracts to 7 stars.
Michael Carrick is the biggest name in the ‘released stars’ list as the veteran star announced last season that he wouldn’t be playing for Manchester United anymore. Jose Mourinho has offered the United legend a role in the coaching staff.
Speculation regarding Marouane Fellaini has taken a fresh turn after the word ‘offer’ was written across his name in the list.
Fellaini has been linked to Arsenal in the transfer window as he is a free agent this summer and hasn’t really signed a new contract at Old Trafford.
Apparently the Belgian wants to move but reports suggests that he will now take a decision on his future after the World Cup.
Released List: Michael Carrick, Max Johnstone, Jake Kenyon, Ilias Moutha-Sebtaoui, Devonte Redmond, Theo Richardson, Joe Riley and Charlie Scott
New Contracts : Indy Boonen, Zachary Dearnley, Marouane Fellaini, Ethan Hamilton, Dean Henderson, Tosin Kehinde and Callum Whelan.
Jose Mourinho has done some very shrewd business before the World Cup by signing Dalot and Fred to bolster the defence and midfield, two areas that United needed reinforcements in.
United now need a good central defender and they are in for Toby Alderweireld who as reports suggest wants that United move desperately.
If he goes to Old Trafford, Manchester United could be a serious force to reckon with next season as they would have plugged all those voids from the 2017-18 season.
A fun season is lined up at Old Trafford.
