STR vs THU head to head: Adelaide Strikers vs Sydney Thunder head to head records in BBL history
The ninth match of Big Bash League 2022-23 will be played between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder in Adelaide tomorrow. Fourth match between these two teams in 2022 and fifth in the last one year, Strikers and Thunder will face each other less than a handful of days after their participation in a record-breaking fixture at the Sydney Showground Stadium on Friday.
While there are minimal chances of people not knowing till now, the last Adelaide-Sydney encounter had witnessed the lowest-ever T20 innings total. Following Sydney Thunder 15 all out in an unfathomable performance, they also lost to Melbourne Renegades yesterday to be at the sixth position on the points table after a win and two losses thus far.
Strikers, on the other hand, are at the top of the points table on the back of winning their first two BBL 12 matches. A 124-run victory in their last match has also boosted their NRR (Net Run Rate) to a mammoth 4.375.
Wanting to start afresh, Thunder would be looking to bank on their previous record against Strikers. Readers must note that ST have won three out of their last five matches against AS. Interestingly, they also have a better head-to-head record at an away venue in the iconic Adelaide Oval.
