“Wanting fame is a disease”: Virat Kohli shares what he expects from life via a quote from late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan
With 72 international centuries under his name and unarguably one of the most popular Indian celebrity in the world, Virat Kohli, perhaps never aspired or longed to possess the privilege of fame which comes with a whole set of negativity as well.
Not part of the contingent which played the recently concluded T20I series against Sri Lanka, Kohli will join the Indian squad which will play the three match ODI series starting from January 10, at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
With the Cricketing fraternity finally witnessing the dominant Virat Kohli with the bat in the T20 World Cup 2022, the nearly three-year period preceding that, where he perhaps had to endure the dark side of fame with the person in every other corner discussing his poor form and century drought, the 34-year-old has coped with the extremes of highs and lows of a job already at such a young age.
With the 2023 ODI World Cup scheduled to take place at home, the former Indian captain would yet again give it his all to have a grab at the object that his heart most desires.
Virat Kohli shares what he expects from life
A few minutes post arriving in the northeastern city of Guwahati, king Kohli took to his Instagram handle to share a quote from late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, reflecting upon the ill-effects of fame and what he ultimately expects from his life.
Khan, who breathed his last in April 2020 after suffering from the rare neuroendocrine tumour (NET), had once equated fame to a disease which he wanted to get rid of, and rather only desired to simply experience life and being okay with it.
Perhaps agreeing with this gem of a quote from this evergreen talented actor, Kohli took to his Instagram story to remind his followers what life means to him.
