Ferrari release official statement post Hamilton’s comments and apology

The Kimi-Lewis saga has been the major takeway from the British GP, despite so many brilliant racing duels and overtakes.

The racing incident has been blown way out of proportions by both Mercedes and Hamilton.

While Hamilton’s outburst can be termed as an emotional outburst after a tough, hard fought race; Toto’s ill-timed and unsportsmanlike comments have left the F1 fraternity furious with the Mercedes team.

However, 24 hours post the race and all the drama that followed later, Hamilton came out and apologised to the F1 world for the way he behaved post the race.

Hamilton wanted people to know that Kimi had in fact apologised to him for the wheel lock up and there was not ‘malice’ in the incident.

Hamilton had accepted the apology and was ready to move on. He, however, came up with another social media statement after that, wherein he wanted to admit that his behaviour did seem like one of a sore loser, but he was determined to come back stronger in the next grand prix.

Arrivabene was furious with Wolff and Allison for their insensitive comments post the race and heavily lashed out at them for labelling the crash a ‘deliberate’ Ferrari tactic to gain some advantage.

Ferrari have now put out an official statement, acknowledging Hamilton’s statements as he termed the entire thing as a ‘racing incident’.
