Daughter Ziva helps me relieve stress, says MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni has undoubtedly been one of the best captains to ever play the game of cricket. In addition to his finishing abilities and wicket keeping skills, it is his on-field decisions as a captain that has won many trophies for Team India.
It is definitely not an easy task to lead the Indian side and carry the burden of expectations of a plethora of fans for such a long time. Dhoni has recently revealed in an interview how her daughter, Ziva has acted as a stress buster for him. He also admitted that spending time with his daughter freshens him up.
“It’s good to have someone like her around. She’s a live-wire. From the time she wakes up in the morning, she’s always on the move. She’s very careful about what she does, so we are not worried that she may get hurt herself. It feels good to have her around as she eases the stress,” said the Ranchi-born cricketer.
Ziva was constant during this year’s IPL, cheering for Dhoni in a lot of matches and being a part of his post-game celebrations. She also accompanies Dhoni along with her mother, Sakshi Dhoni in many of his International matches.

The former Indian captain also said how people eagerly ask about Ziva whenever they meet him. “She’s hardly three-and-a-half but she has her own character. Wherever I go, people ask me, ‘where is Ziva’ or ‘what is she doing’. I am nowhere in the scene,” he said.
MS Dhoni, who has retired from Test cricket, is currently spending time at home away from Cricket. After receiving a lot of flak for his performance in the ODI series in England, Dhoni would be looking to make necessary amends to his game before the World Cup next year.
