Is LeBron James Playing Tonight vs Grizzlies? Lakers Release Injury Update on 38-year-old Forward Ahead of Game 2
LeBron James and Co will be looking to take a 2-0 lead in the opening round of their 2023 post-season, with Ja Morant being doubtful for Game 2.
However, some of the players who played a significant role in winning the Lakers Game 1 are also not all available to play the game.
Will their 38-year-old King, who had an efficient double-double and a more than decent two-way performance, play the second game in Memphis? Or will he sit this one out to welcome the Grizzlies to LA? Let’s find out.
Is LeBron James playing tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies
LeBron, along with Anthony Davis and Dennis Schröder, is on the Lakers’ injury list according to the latest reports. The 4x MVP and AD are probable for Game 2, the German point guard is also on the list with the same tag.
As usual, the Lakers are listing LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Dennis Schroder as probable for Game 2 vs. the Grizzlies, but they’ll play.
Memphis is listing Ja Morant as questionable. Might as well keep LA guessing.

However, it should not be concerning for the LA Nation because reporting injury reports like this have been the Lakers’ way this season because of the fragile fitness of their two superstars.
Expect all of them to play, try to get a win, and leave a mountain for the Grizzlies to climb when they visit LA.
What could we expect from LeBron?
James, the team’s leading scorer (28.9 points) and assist provider (6.8) this season, was the fourth-highest scorer with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists in the game. Expect him to score a little more in this game.
The main talking point about his game was his defensive efforts. One of the oldest players in the league went for 3 blocks, including a chase-down one on Desmond Bane to turn back the clock, and stole the rock twice as well.
However, he was just a +7, which was only fifth-best in the game probably because of his 5 turnovers. The 19x All-Star would want to have a better impact on the game than that. Let’s see if he will.
