Is LeBron James Playing Tonight vs Golden State Warriors? Lakers’ 4x MVP’s Availability Report Ahead of Game 1 Against Stephen Curry & Co
The Lakers fanbase finally got what they had been waiting for. The Purple and Gold team is finally through to the second round of the Playoffs for the first time since their 2020 Championship run. However, they now have a Stephen Curry and the Warriors problem ahead of them. And their superstars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis keep making appearances on the team’s injury list every other game.
Will they be available to take part in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-finals tonight at Chase Center? Let’s find out.
Is LeBron James playing tonight against the Golden State Warriors?
LeBron James with soreness in his right foot and Anthony Davis with a stress injury on the right foot as well, are both ‘probable’ for Game 1, like most other Lakers games throughout the 2022-23 campaign.
Mo Bamba on the other hand, is ‘questionable’ with left ankle soreness. Those are three players on the Lakers’ injury list as of now.

Without either of their two superstars, the Lakers are not going to win Game 1 against these Warriors who had just come off a tremendous 120-100 win over the Sacramento Kings.
However, you can expect both of them to play because neither of them had any type of injury scare in their 6 games against the Grizzlies.
What is James’ record against the Warriors?
Since LeBron James’ draft into the NBA in 2003, he has played against the Golden State Warriors 22-times in the playoffs (all in the Finals), averaging around 33 points, 11.5 rebounds, 9.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.7 steals per game according to StatMuse.
That’s hard to replicate by even two players combined in the Playoffs. The 38-year-old forward would himself not want to go anyway near those numbers because if this series goes to seven games, he might fatigue himself out or get himself an injury much earlier.
So, let’s hope he manages himself in this series the best way he can.
