Ajinkya Rahane Last 10 Test Innings Score List

Although India batter Ajinkya Rahane missed out on his 13th Test century, his 26th Test half-century has been successful in bailing his team out of trouble during the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2021-2023 final against Australia at The Oval. While India still have a lot of work to be done, they wouldn’t have been able to save the follow-on had it not been for Rahane scoring 89 (129) at a strike rate of 68.99.

Representing India for the first time in almost 17 months, Rahane outperformed all other specialist batters to put on display an individual comeback which will be remembered for a long time from the perspective of the Indian cricket team.

Rahane, who has a knack of standing tall on his potential in daunting situations, portrayed his character and ability to dig deep for the team’s cause. An innings which consisted of 11 fours and a six, the 35-year old player did exhibit his range of shots.

From playing those elegant drives and punches to hooking a short ball for a six, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Rahane was in his zone in spite of missing the last nine Tests.

Rahane, who had a highest score of 37 and was dismissed on a duck thrice at this stadium across six innings in the past, scored a maiden half-century here. All in all, the right-handed batter scored his 21st Test half-century at No. 5, sixth against Australia and in England and first under captain Rohit Sharma (15).
