‘Coy’ Shaquille O’Neal Uploads Hilarious Portrayal of Adam Silver as Vince McMahon Ahead of Impending Ja Morant Announcement
Ja Morant stormed the internet last month when he appeared with a gun on his friend’s Instagram story. Since then, the NBA community has been restless about the action that will be taken against the Grizzlies guard. NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, said the decision would be announced after the NBA Finals and yet, there’s nothing on the subject. Shaquille O’Neal seems as impatient as any fan of the game for the impending decision.
It was the second offense for Ja in two months, as he first uploaded a clip of himself with a gun at a strip club earlier in March, which got him an 8-game suspension. That’s the reason why everyone is so eagerly waiting for the decision to come out because this could well be one of the longest suspensions in league history.
Shaquille O’Neal compares Adam Sliver to Vince McMahon for being a showman before the Ja Morant suspension
In one of his latest Instagram stories, Shaquille O’Neal shared The Score’s clip of Adam Sliver’s head morphed over Vince McMahon’s body with the WWE’s Executive Chairman walking his iconic walk. Here’s the Tweet about the same by Stephen B. Smith.

It is obviously an implication of how dramatic Silver has been in the matter, creating every ounce of hype it can, before actually letting us know about the suspension.
Promotion of violence by somebody who is as influential as Morant is tarnishing the NBA’s image as a sport. And to set the precedent, the punishment will be big. It could be anywhere between 30–50 games if Ja is lucky. And if not, the whole season.
There has been some support for Ja in the matter
Dwyane Wade, who had an almost spotless career in terms of controversies, suggested getting rid of Ja Morant isn’t the solution right now. The Heat legend, in his recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, said that the 23-year-old surely cannot make the same mistake twice, but the youngster can and should be forgiven for his second offense.
The 2023 DPOY, Jaren Jackson Jr. also had the same beliefs about his teammate. The Grizzlies’ big man said that Ja has made a mistake while growing up as the most popular player in the league and that he stands by his brother through it.
