Welbeck to start vs Watford? Unai Emery hints at first-team change
Unai Emery pins Welbeck to start vs Watford in the Premier League this weekend, as Arsenal aim to extend their winning run to 7 games.
Danny Welbeck scored an impressive brace in Arsenal’s Carabao Cup round against Brentford last night. Welbeck’s goals in the first half were enough to see Arsenal through the line, as the Gunners registered a 3-1 victory to proceed to the next round.
Arsenal will now face the high-flying Watford in the Premier League this weekend. Watford are currently fourth in the Premier League table with four wins from six matches.

Before the game, Unai Emery has revealed some interesting details about the team he could play for the match. Danny Welbeck’s impressive performances could see him start in the Premier League match for the first time this season, according to Unai Emery.
This is Danny Welbeck’s final season at The Emirates, unless the England international is offered a new contract from the club. Welbeck is currently the top scorer for Arsenal this season.
“He gives us his quality and also his commitment every day,” the Gunners boss told the reporters after the Carabao Cup match.
“Danny Welbeck is working with this commitment and when he is playing also with a performance like today, I think he’s helping the team and we want this.
“Also, it’s more chances for us to find the first XI for the next matches with performances like today’s.
“Each match is very important for the players, they can show us and show every supporter and every person their performance.
