“I Was Trying to Peek in the in the Room”: Rob Gronkowski Candidly Reveals How He Couldn’t Stop Looking at His Friend Jason Taylor’s Sister Joy
Rob Gronkowski, the former superstar Tight End who established himself as quite the party animal and the go-to guy in the league, was also great friends with former Dolphins DE Jason Taylor. Reflecting on his great friendship with the DE, Gronk recently narrated quite a few interesting stories on the Dan and Ninko Show.
During the show, Gronkowski revealed that he stayed at Jason’s house for quite some time when he was in high school. However, the best part came when Gronk revealed his crush on Jason’s college-going sister Joy. Everyone on the panel couldn’t stop their laughter when the ex-TE revealed how he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
Gronk Dished on Special Relationship With The Taylor Family
Rob reveals that despite renting an apartment complex, he basically lived with Jason Taylor and his family. He said that he became friends with Noah Taylor and Jason Taylor and basically started living the their family. Speaking on Dan and Ninko’s show, he revealed,
“In High school, I lived with Jason Taylor. I rented an apartment complex but then became good friends with Noah Taylor who is the brother of Jason Taylor. I just started staying at his house because it was a mile away from school and basically, his mom became kind of like my step-mom for the whole year.”

Gronk says they are a great family and he still talks to the family. Babbling about his teenage crush on Joy Taylor, he threw light on this and cheekily said,
“Joy is now all over the ESPN and everything. I remember when she would come back from college and visit when I was still in high school. She was a looker. Now she is like a sister to me but when I was young, I was trying to peak into her room.”
Rob further said that he would probably get in trouble with Joy later and she would “kill” him. He definitely shared a special bond with the Taylor family and a friendly bond with the siblings.
When Rob Gronkowski Was Interviewed by Joy Taylor
11 years ago, Gronk had quite the interview with Joy Taylor. Joy Taylor now a sports broadcaster for Fox, interviewed Rob back when she was working for Class Act Sports. Gronk conversing with Joy Taylor of Class Act Sports, said,
“I am relaxing now with the number one coach in the world. Tiger (Woods) called me to be his caddy because I am just so good. I am always telling my brother where to shoot, and what kind of clubs to use, they all just keep coming to me for pointers. I am so good out here.”
When asked about his plans after the NFL and golf tournament, Gronk talked of his plans to be a golf coach after his football career and said it is an honor to be at the Golf Charity Tournament and it’s unbelievable what the charity does for the kids.
Gronk retired in 2022 as one of the greatest Tight Ends and athletes to grace the game. At times he looked like a runaway freight train and his impact on the NFL will be everlasting.
