Toro Rosso get KFC on board, Mercedes troll them on Twitter
Toro Rosso will have the KFC logo on their car for the United States Grand Prix and they have come up with a new name for themselves due to it.
Posting on their social media handle, Toro Rosso asked their fans to call them as Pollo Rosso from here on.(Chicken is Pollo in Spanish).
With the Toro Rosso team trying to be a little witty on social media, how could our beloved Mercedes social media team stay far behind.
The Mercedes social media team came up with a special order for Pollo Rosso, asking them to provide them with some fried chicken of theirs.
“Just call us Pollo Rosso this weekend” Toro Rosso tweeted.

“We’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.” Mercedes came up with an order.

With the banter starting early this weekend, other teams, journalists and even the official account of COTA joined in to have some fun before the on track action begins.
Tweet of the weekend and we haven’t even gotten started yet.

With such appreciation coming from the circuit account, Toro Rosso felt as if they had peaked a little too early.
You’re right, we’ve peaked too early.

The social media weekend has begun on a high and with Mercedes around, you can expect some more fun to come your way.
Mercedes would also be hoping to wrap up the driver’s title in Austin and thus the on track fun should go up a little too.
