WATCH: Hamilton takes down Mistico in Mexico
Lewis Hamilton will be gunning for a 5th World title in Mexico, as he needs 5 more points to ensure that his closest championship rival cannot catch him, no matter what he(Vettel) does in the final 3 races.
On the face of it, the task looks quite simple, as Hamilton has had just 1 DNF all through the season, and should be able to get those 5 points in Mexico itself.
But funnier things have happened in sport, and he wouldn’t want to count his chickens before they have hatched.
Mercedes and Hamilton both have been playing down title wins, saying that they will celebrate and talk about it only when they officially cross the line.
It was right here in 2017 where Hamilton secured his 4th F1 title. Coming into the weekend, Hamilton had a 66 point lead and needed a 5th place finish(if Vettel won the race) to clinch the title.
The race was full of drama with Vettel, Verstappen and Hamilton colliding on lap 1, something that forced both Hamilton and Vettel to start from the tail of the grid. In the Hamilton finished 9th and Vettel 4th, with Hamilton winning his 4th World Title.
While Mexico does have a lot of fond memories for Hamilton, the fondest of them all for him and his fans would be the duel that he had with Mistico, wherein Hamilton gave Mistico a bodyslam to win the ‘duel’.
While ofcourse the duel was scripted, Lewis did show some good know how of the ‘art’ and did not quite make a fool of himself.

Do you think Hamilton can wrap up the title in Mexico? Or will the F1 gods smile on Ferrari and Vettel and dish out a Hamilton DNF on Sunday?
