Man Utd vs Arsenal: Lacazette responds to Rojo’s own goal vs Arsenal
Rojo’s own goal vs Arsenal: Alexandre Lacazette took to Twitter to respond to Marcos Rojo’s own goal in the game.
The match between Manchester United and Arsenal ended in a 2-2 draw. In a fairly entertaining game, Mourinho’s side came from behind twice to draw the game.
Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard scored the two goals for Manchester United, while Shkodran Mustafi gave Arsenal the opener, while an own goal from Marcos Rojo sprung them back in the lead.
There was a significant debate over the second Arsenal’s goal, as many argued that the goal should’ve been awarded to Lacazette. However, it was finally noted down as an own goal.
The French forward has now reacted to Premier League’s decision.
Rojo’s own goal vs Arsenal:
Alexandre Lacazette caught Rojo off-guard in the second half, and in a desperate attempt to deny the Frenchman, Rojo scored an unlucky own goal. While on the first look, it seemed Lacazette had a final touch, but replays confirmed that Rojo scored the goal.
However, Lacazette took to Twitter to respond to Premier League’s decision to award the goal to Rojo.
Here’s what he said:
Really bro ? 🤔
— Alexandre Lacazette (@LacazetteAlex) December 6, 2018
The people at Twitter, as usual, gave some funny responses to Lacazette’s tweet:
Maybe @HKane can overturn it for you bro?

Apparently If you Swear on your daughter’s life they’ll overturn the own goal 🤷🏾♂️

It should be Harry Kane’s goal 🙄

However, Arsenal’s lead hardly lasted a minute, as Manchester United scored from kick-off through Jesse Lingard.
Jose Mourinho later stated that Manchester United scored all the four goals, implying that the goals conceded were more due to mistakes by his players.
David De Gea committed a major howler for Arsenal’s first goal, as the goalkeeper failed to save Mustafi’s header properly. As the ball rolled over his head, Ander Herrera couldn’t stop it from crossing the goal-line.
However, like United’s second goal, Mourinho’s side’s response was almost immediate. Anthony Martial scored after a free-kick from Marcos Rojo forced Leno to make a dive.
What next?
With the draw, both Arsenal and Manchester United have faced a slip in the Premier League table. While Unai Emery’s side are out of the top-4 again, Manchester United have dropped to 8th position in the league.
Arsenal regained the fourth place after a crushing victory over North London rivals Tottenham. Unai Emery’s side beat Tottenham 4-2, as Aubameyang scored a brace in the game, while Torreira netted his first goal since joining the club in summer.
Manchester United, meanwhile, will face the bottom-placed Fulham on Saturday as they make desperate attempts to bring their campaign back on track. Mourinho’s side is winless in the league in their last four games, and have won only one game since returning from the international break in November.
While they lost to Manchester City last month, their last three games ended in disappointing draws.
