MS Dhoni becomes non-payment victim from Spartan Sports
Dhoni becomes non-payment victim from Spartan Sports: The Indian wicket-keeper batsman likely to lose a significant amount.
Former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni is likely to lose out on a significant amount of money after non-payment from Australian based bat sponsor company named Spartan Sports.
Previous reports of the company not paying some renowned cricketers had given some hints of the same happening eventually. The company had been irregular with finances, especially when it came to paying its contracted players.
It has come to notice that Dhoni has only been paid four installments of the INR 20 crore bat deal between 2013 and 2016.
Among some of the other cricketers who have been affected by this default are Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Universe Boss Chris Gayle, England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan, former Australia captain Michael Clarke and former Australia fast bowler Mitchell Johnson.

The news had majorly come out when Clarke had stopped using the logo of spartan on his bat during the last phase of his career.
With a recent court order ruling in Australia suggesting for the liquidity of the company, one believes that the above mentioned names are likely to suffer hefty losses from this deal.
The company is co-owned by Kunal Sharma, a Jalandhar-based businessman. Other than Sharma, Pakistan’s Kamil Khan is also in a partnership with Spartan Sports.
Notwithstanding this current rift, Dhoni has continued to use the logo of Spartan on his bat and other equipment.
Dhoni’s next international assignment is less than a week away now for the 37-year old cricketer will be featuring in the first of the three-match ODI series against Australia at Sydney on January 12.
