Charles Leclerc comments on Ferrari using team orders in the Chinese GP as the Ferrari situation could worsen in the races to come
Charles Leclerc was hard done by the Ferrari team orders in the Chinese GP, as he had to settle for P5, despite having gone past Sebastian Vettel on Turn 1.
With Vettel apparently quicker than Leclerc after that initial getaway, Ferrari decided that it would be wise to swap the cars, with Vettel more likely to challenge Bottas for P2 and then maybe for the win too.
Leclerc wasn’t quite happy with the gesture and let the team know on the radio, but it was to no avail, as Ferrari did not swap the cars later on in the race.
In the post race interview too, Leclerc expressed his disappointment over the entire incident. He firmly said that he wanted to see who the real team leader was in the future races.
“I don’t know, I have to see the full picture. In the car it was very frustrating….In the future we will see who the team leader is. Today was a disappointing race.” Charles Leclerc said.
“With Seb I need to see the full picture. To speak with the engineers and understand the decision. I’m pretty sure there is an explanation for this decision. I’ll understand it. Anyway it is in the past.” he added.

It will now be interesting to see how Ferrari deal with this situation and how the Leclerc-Vettel relationship pans out.
