Steve Smith catch vs SRH: RR captain grabs an exceptional catch to dismiss David Warner | WATCH
Steve Smith catch vs SRH: Rajasthan Royals captain put on display an exceptional catch to dismiss Sunrisers Hyderabad opening batsman.
During the 45th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals captain Steven Smith led from the front on the field after grabbing a stunning catch to dismiss Sunrisers Hyderabad opening batsman David Warner.
It all happened on the first ball of the 13th over after Warner’s attempt of taking on Royals Oshane Thomas saw him returning back to the pavilion.
In a bid to to up the ante, Warner backed away to hit a ball over extra cover. With minimal timing on the ball, Warner hit the ball high in the air. Smith, who was fielding at extra cover, ran back from his position to grab an exceptional diving catch.
Warner, who had opened the batting with captain Kane Williamson, ended up scoring 37 (32). The fact that the southpaw didn’t hit a single boundary speaks highly about him not finding his rhythm tonight. Warner’s wicket also brought an end to 75-run partnership for the second wicket between him and Manish Pandey.
Earlier, Smith won the toss and had put the visitors in to bat. Making a couple of changes, Royals included Liam Livingstone and Ashton Turner for Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer.
On the other hand, Sunrisers made three changes to their XI, bringing in captain Kane Williamson, Wriddhiman Saha and Siddarth Kaul in place of Jonny Bairstow, Yusuf Pathan and Sandeep Sharma.

How Twitter reacted:
David Warner made 37 runs today which is now the highest individual score in IPL without a boundary. The previous highest score was 34 by Steve Smith (RPS) against SRH at Hyderabad in 2017.#RRvSRH

An australian continuously backing a 17 yr old indian player whom doesn’t have even first class exposure is delight to watch.
