With bowling figures of 4-0-35-3, KXIP all-rounder Sam Curran was the pick of the bowlers for his team.

Chasing a 171-run target, the hosts went off to a flier on the back of a brisk 108-run opening partnership between Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Punjab never lacked behind in the chase. With Mandeep Singh (11*) and Curran (6*) in the middle, KXIP sealed the chase in 18 overs.

In what was a game-changing innings by Rahul, it saw him putting his team in a comfortable position. Before getting out in the 11th over, Rahul scored a magnificent 71 (36) with the help of seven fours an five sixes. The right-hand batsman was declared the Man of the Match for his brilliant innings.
