Dhoni providing invaluable tips to Rishabh Pant: Chennai Super Kings captain shares a light-hearted moment with Rishabh Pant.

The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings sailed through to the finals yet again after beating the Delhi Capitals in a comprehensive fashion by 6 wickets in the 2nd Qualifier that took place in Vizag, yesterday.

Batting first, the Delhi Capitals batting led by Rishabh Pant could garner only a below par total of 147/9, with Pant emerging the top scorer (38 off 25), hitting 2 fours and a six in his usually aggressive approach towards the game.

MS Dhoni on the other hand, came in to bat in the 17th over, when things had already been done and dusted by CSK’s opening pair. He eventually got out after scoring 9 off 9 deliveries while going for the almighty heave, only to be caught in the cow corner fence.

But, what caught the Twitteratis’ eyeballs were the moments of bonhomie and camaraderie between the aforementioned, post the match, wherein Dhoni is seen mentoring Pant. In this 30 seconds video posted by the official Twitter handle of the Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni in his ever endearing demeanour is been seen throwing in some tips and advises for the ‘to-be’ wicket-keeper for India in the future, perhaps across the three formats.

Pant, on the other hand, is seen absorbing in all of those from the veteran and his idol, as an ideal disciple would do.

Both MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant have had a dream run in this year’s IPL. While Dhoni has scored 414 runs in the 14 innings he has played so far, Pant has accumulated 488 runs in the 16 matches , at an average of 103.50 and 37.53 runs respectively.

Prior the IPL too, the duo featured in two separate videos made by the Star Network while advertising for the promotion of the league.
