AEW News: Michael Craven NJPW GM denies relationship with AEW
AEW News: Michael Craven NJPW GM denies relationship with AEW. Says they will remain Loyal to their partners.
Last month Chris Jericho challenged Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Championship at Dominion on June 9 this month. Chris Jericho is not the only AEW wrestler set to appear at NJPW; the Japanese promotion have also advertised Jon Moxley’s debut at the best of the Super Juniors Finals to face Juice Robinson for the United States Championship.

However, in spite of featuring two of AEW’s biggest stars, NJPW and AEW have no official ties with each other.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated;
NJPW GM Michael Craven said:
“NJPW has a long and rich history with our international partners, including CMLL in Mexico, Ring of Honor in America, and RevPro in the United Kingdom. Loyalty is a big virtue, especially in Japanese culture. Loyalty to our partners is of utmost importance to us as we continue to foster the premiere network of wrestling talent in the world. We wish everybody at All Elite Wrestling nothing but the best in their ongoing endeavours, though we must stress we have no working arrangement at this time. Again, we think our partners seek and deserve loyalty and an appropriate amount of care. We want our relationships to be mutually beneficial over the long haul, rather than just thinking in the moment.”
Tony Khan, the AEW President, had previously said that Jon Moxley was allowed to take international and national dates until All Elite Wrestling starts their weekly television. It is safe to say that Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega have similar deals in their contracts. The three superstars will become exclusive to AEW once their Weekly television begins.
